Meet the 2026 Summer Guides: The Heart of Summer Forever
Our 2026 Summer Guides have officially landed, and we are ready to hit the trail. In our mission to provide a Summer Forever, these guides are essential. They serve as mentors who make our unplugged adventures possible, helping students trade screen time for life-changing time in God’s creation.
The Mission of a Summer Guide
Summer Guides are the steady presence on every trip. They wear many hats—from safety experts and gear coordinators to friends and expert sandwich makers. Whether they are prepping backpacks for a summit or sitting by the lake talking to a student about the God whose reflection shimmers off the water, they are dedicated to creating a space where students feel safe, seen, and valued.
Fuel the Journey
Much like Summer Forever itself, each Summer Guide position is made possible by a generous network of supporters. By donating to a guide’s page, you aren’t just funding a role; you are providing the professional support and persistent love required to help our students reach their God-given potential in the outdoors.

Meet Mary Garcia!
Hey! My name is Mary Garcia and I am rising senior at Furman University studying psychology! I plan on pursuing a masters in clinical psychology and working as a therapist. I am so excited to be working at GOAT this summer and to have the opportunity to share how the Lord reveals Himself through His creation.
A fun fact about me is that I am in a band and enjoy playing gigs in the local area!

Meet Eliza!
Hi, I’m Eliza Graybill! I have lived in Greenville for 6 years now. I am currently finishing up a gap year. I have spent the past year traveling and taking a much needed break to grow my relationship with Jesus. I am incredibly excited to spend the summer outside and getting the awesome opportunity to share God’s love with kids. Fun fact, I was born in Thailand!
