SUPPORTING OUR SUMMER GUIDES

Our Summer Guides make our Summer Trips possible! Without them, we couldn't take hundreds of students on outdoor adventures during the summer. From paddleboarding to mountain biking to creating impactful relationships with students, our Summer Guides come on board ready to do it all.

But they can't do it alone. As our summer guides create transformative relationships through outdoor adventures we want to ensure their needs are met. We encourage our Summer Guides to invite their friends, families, and congregations into that process through financially contributing to their stipend throughout the summer.

If you're here to donate to your friend or family member who has signed on to be a GOAT Summer Guide, you are also a part of the adventure.

Thank you for making what we get to do possible!

MEET MITCH!

What's up guys, my name is Mitch Rhyne, and I am from Clemson, SC! I am a senior at Clemson University studying Parks, Recreation, and Tourism Management with a minor in Nonprofit Leadership. In my free time, I enjoy hiking, playing basketball, frisbee, and anything that involves being outside with others. I also love backpacking and camping but have not had as much time to be able to do those things recently.

I literally could not be more ecstatic to join GOAT’s team! I started volunteering with GOAT’s after-school program in October, and ever since then, GOAT has had a special place in my heart. Everything about GOAT, whether it be the middle schoolers, the leadership of Mikey & Abbey, the coffee shop, or the mission they have is so great.

I’ve developed meaningful friendships and relationships through GOAT in the past 6 months, and I want to continue to make an impact with them as a guide this summer. I have no doubt in my mind the Lord has guided me to GOAT for a specific reason and purpose, and I am excited to see what he has in store for me this summer.

LAST BUT NOT LEAST

If you could only eat one thing forever, what would it be?
I would for sure eat a perfectly cooked medium-rare steak. You just cannot go wrong.

If you could have dinner with anyone in history who would it be?
Weird answer but most definitely Snoop Dog. The man is so funny and probably has some wild stories

MEET ABBY!

My name is Abby Carlson, and I am from Columbia, SC! I attend Columbia International University. In my free time, I enjoy drawing, laughing with friends, and longboarding!

I want to work at GOAT because sharing Jesus with kids is something that God has given me a heart for.

What makes me most excited to be a Summer Guide is the relationships I will get to make with my team and the kids throughout the summer.

I keep coming back to Christ because He is my Savior, and I would not be where I am or who I am without Him. He is my life, my light, and my answer for everything.

If I could only eat one thing forever I would probably eat strawberries or watermelon.

If I could have dinner with anyone in history, I would have dinner with John the Baptist.
