Our staff, volunteers and guides initially interact with many of our students through an outdoor adventure trip. We provide these as a free service to over 40 partner organizations in our community. These adventures provide a new experience that puts our students out of their comfort zones and allows them to try something new, surrounded by people who love them and want to be a part of their lives.

We Move to Responsibility

As students progress in our programs, with the help of a mentor, they have opportunities to learn about their personal gifts and strengths, receive leadership and job readiness training and come alongside and serve with our staff as they eventually earn a job with us. (Equip & Elevate)

Why the Outdoors?

The outdoors provide new experiences away from the chaos of their normal lives. It offers a quiet space, and something out of their comfort zone. Most of our activities are so foreign to the students we work with, that they have no choice but to trust our staff and volunteers. The trust built on these trips provide a foundation for real relationships.

Beyond these experiences, the outdoors provide a fresh look at creation and often lead our students to consider the creator. Because we are a Christian ministry, we believe these experiences parallel Biblical experiences in the wilderness and provide students a backdrop to learn more about their own faith.

Over every mountain there is a path, although it may not be seen from the valley.
